Welcome to the Ecuador policy page for CheapestTime.com. This page explains how payments, deposits, changes, cancellations, refunds, and currencies work for trips in Ecuador, including the Galápagos Islands. Our goal is to give you full clarity on the financial timeline, deposit rules, and cancellation terms so you can book with confidence. Once your deposit or full payment is processed, your booking is confirmed.
Because many Ecuador experiences—especially Galápagos cruises and remote lodges—require supplier prepayments, final balances are often due earlier than for other destinations. Here, you’ll also find details on refund eligibility, non-refundable services, and currencies supported at checkout. Reviewing these policies before booking helps you understand your flexibility and prepare for a smooth travel experience.

We support secure, widely used options:
Notes:
Some bookings may include government or carrier-imposed fees that must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
Your bank or card provider may apply foreign exchange or international transaction fees.
Your deposit amount and balance due date will always appear clearly at checkout. For Ecuador tours, the typical structure is:
Your invoice will always display the exact deposit and balance due dates for your itinerary.
120 days or more before departure: 25% of the total trip value retained.
91–119 days before departure: 40% retained.
90 days or fewer before departure: 100% forfeited.
Galápagos cruises and charters: Many vessels enforce stricter rules; your booking confirmation will show the specific terms that apply.
After trip commencement: No refunds are available.
Note: Ecuador’s official currency is the U.S. dollar (USD). While we support multiple currencies at checkout, most payments for Ecuador trips, including card charges and bank transfers, are processed in USD. If your card or account is billed in another currency, your provider may apply its own exchange rate and fees.
